How To Make San Choy Bow
Here’s the super easy recipe that’s ready in minutes.
Ingredients
- 100 grams of lean beef mince (alternatively you can add pork mince, chicken mince or firm tofu if you’re vegetarian)
- 1/2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon minced ginger
- 1 cup of cos lettuce
- 1/4 cup chopped water chestnuts (chopped)
- 18 grams of almond nuts (chopped)
- 1 tablespooon of soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon fish sauce
- 1 teaspoon of honey
- Chopped shallots (optional garnishing)
Instructions
- Cook beef mince in olive oil, over a hot heat, until completely cooked through.
- Add ginger, water chestnuts, carrots and almond nuts and cook for a few minutes.
- Add soy or tamari sauce, fish sauce and honey.
- Serve in cos lettuce cups, or as a salad.
- Garnish with shallots if you like.
If you have children, get them involved by scooping the mince mix into the lettuce cups!
